No More Rats!
No more rats! Yay!
If you’ve been following along on Twitter, you’ll know that there have been a couple of rat incidents at my job.
Well nooooo more!
We’re moving.
Our office is moving locations, which means no more rats.
But, it also means I now have to buy a parking pass for $400. ugh
I always wonder why employees have to pay for parking with certain jobs.
In my case it’s because I work at a university, where everyone has to pay for parking…”to maintain the lots, sidewalks, etc.”
Or something really official like that.
Do you pay for parking at your job? Would that deter you from working there?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments.

I currently do not have to pay for parking, and I don’t think it would deter me from working there if I had to. But I would really appreciate it if my employer paid half of the price of the parking. For instance, with you being on a university campus the charge isn’t your employers but the school. So if they couldn’t negotiate with the school for a lower price then they should pay half. Does that make sense???

When I worded downtown I used to pay for parking. it was either that or ride the bus. Now working in a rural area my employer provides the parking and we don’t have to pay for it. I love it because I can step out for lunch and come back not worrying about having to pay.

Philippa & Jai: Thanks for your comments. All I can say is I’m going to miss the free parking.

Sounds like your paying a tax for the right to work and get to your job. There’s something instinctively wrong with that.

Great to hear you wont have any more problems with rats. I don’t want to call bad luck, but who knows, maybe at new place you will have similar accidents :).
